IISC signs agreement with Havana University
On Monday 7 February the International Institute for the Study of Cuba signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Havana to deepen and broaden ties.
Among the activities planned is cooperation in the supervision of postgraduate students, the exchange of students and the development of courses in Cuban History among others.

Havana (R) and Dr Stephen Wilkinson, Director of the IISC at the University of Buckingham, UK.
Later, Dr Wilkinson, had the honour to meet the President of Cuba, HE Miguel Díaz Canel (pictured left) at the opening of Universidad 2022 a major international Higher Education conference that is taking place in Havana from 7-11 February.
Relations between the IISC and Cuba are already bearing fruit. In May 2022, Professor Ernesto Dominguez, an expert on Cuba-US relations from the University of Havana will be the first academic to visit the IISC at the University of Buckingham and will be giving classes in Cuban history and politics.
